Sports Medicine Primary Care

Sports Medicine Primary Care

The sports medicine physicians at McFarland Clinic are dedicated to providing expert care for any injuries and conditions athletes face.  A sports medicine specialist can provide nonsurgical treatment, make referrals to occupational and physical therapists, and expedite referrals to an orthopedic/sports surgeon if necessary.

Sports medicine doctors have received additional training in the non-musculoskeletal aspects of sports medicine.  They provide a wide array of nonsurgical health services for both injury recovery and overall wellness.

Non-Surgical Orthopedic Care Services

Athletes are at increased risk of injury, and letting injuries go without proper treatment can lead to lasting damage.  Common injuries treated at our sports injury clinic range from mild injuries (such as a pinched nerve or back pain) to more serious conditions ( such as concussions, broken bones, and torn ACL/MCL).  We offer a range of nonsurgical injury treatments.

  • Ultrasound injections & diagnostics
  • Soft tissue injuries (sprained or torn ligaments and tendons)
  • Platelet-rich plasma therapy
  • Fracture management
  • Joint injections (sports and non-sports related)
  • Nonsurgical athletic injury treatment and recovery
  • & Much More

Concussion Care

Concussions are common and very serious injuries that many athletes encounter.  At the first sign of any concussion symptoms, it is vital to get a concussion screening as soon as possible.  We also provide baseline testing for athletes who are at risk of a concussion.  From screening to concussion to treatment all the way to post-concussion screenings, we're here to get you safely back in the game.
