Facility Information
McFarland Express Care offers same day and next day appointments for common illnesses, limited immunizations, and sports physicals for middle school and high school. You do not need to be an existing patient of McFarland Clinic to be seen at McFarland Express Care. Patients must be 6 months of age or older. (X-Ray services are not available in Express Care. Please see Urgent Care for X-Ray services.)
Driving Directions
Directions from US Highway 30 (Eastbound)
- Take Highway 30 to the University Boulevard exit.
- Take University Boulevard north to South 4th Street, driving approximately 1.2 miles.
- Turn right (east) onto South 4th Street. Drive approximately 0.7 miles to Grand Avenue.
- Turn left (north) onto Grand Avenue.
- The main driveway into 640 Lincoln Way is on the east side of Grand Avenue.
Directions from US Highway 30 (Westbound)
- Take Highway 30 to the Duff Avenue exit.
- Take Duff Avenue north, driving approximately 1.2 miles.
- Turn left (west) onto Lincoln Way. Drive approximately 0.5 miles to Grand Avenue.
- Turn left (south) onto Grand Avenue.
- The main driveway into 640 Lincoln Way is on the east side of Grand Avenue.
Directions from Interstate 35 (Northbound or Southbound)
- Take I-35 to the exit for Highway 30 westbound.
- Take Highway 30 approximately 0.4 miles to the Duff Avenue exit.
- Take Duff Avenue north, driving approximately 1.2 miles.
- Turn left (west) onto Lincoln Way. Drive approximately 0.5 miles to Grand Avenue.
- Turn left (south) onto Grand Avenue.
- The main driveway into 640 Lincoln Way is on the east side of Grand Avenue.
Parking and Entrance
You may park in any public parking spot in the Hy-Vee lot. Express Care Lincoln Center - Ames is located inside Lincoln Center Hy-Vee, near the pharmacy.
Public Transportation
McFarland Express Care at West Ames Hy-Vee is located on the CyRide #3 (Blue) route.
Insurance
If you have insurance, we will submit claims to your medical insurance company on your behalf. We encourage you to contact your insurance company to verify coverage for the services you are seeking. This will help prepare you for any out-of-pocket costs such as copayments, coinsurance and/or deductibles. Copayments will be collected at the time of your visit. If you are uninsured or prefer to pay in full at the time of your visit, we accept cash, checks, debit cards and major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express).
