McFarland Clinic is pleased to welcome Jean Hermsen, DO, to our Otolaryngology Department (Ear, Nose and Throat).
Dr. Hermsen grew up in northeastern Iowa on a small dairy farm. She attended Wartburg College prior to attending medical school at Des Moines University. She recently completed her otolaryngology/facial plastic surgery residency through Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Hermsen also completed subspecialty training in otology/neurotology, pediatric otolaryngology and head and neck cancer surgery.
Dr. Hermsen will be providing a variety of services including examination, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ear, nose and throat, including balloon sinus surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, and head and neck surgery. In addition, Dr. Hermsen has received training in facial plastic surgery.
Her husband is also an Iowan from Dubuque. They have two children and everyone is looking forward to returning to Iowa.
