About

Medical Interests

Dr. Hopkins has a particular interest in recent technologies allowing radiation treatments to be more precise and faster. Stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiation therapy are examples of growing technologies that bring cancer control with less toxicity to normal body tissues. Dr. Hopkins also emphasizes that radiation can be avoided in a growing number of common cancer cases such as prostate and breast cancer, and he particularly enjoys discussing the pros and cons with patients to empower them to make the best decision for themselves.
