Dr. Uhlenhopp will begin offering Pain Medicine services at the Mary Greeley Medical Center Pain Medicine Clinic starting in January 2027.

About Dr. Uhlenhopp

Dr. Uhlenhopp grew up on a farm outside Aplington, IA and played football for Aplington-Parkersburg High School. He is a fifth-generation Iowa State graduate, majoring in Genetics, prior to completing medical school at the University of Iowa. From there he went on to complete a residency in Anesthesiology at MUSC in Charleston, SC. He completed the renowned fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the University of Kansas and subsequently began working at McFarland clinic and Mary Greeley Medical Center. His medical interests include treating pain through the use of lifestyle changes, nutrition, and the wide array of medicines and nerve stimulation techniques he employs. He and his wife Maria are thrilled to be part of the Ames community again, and you can find them at games cheering on the Cyclones throughout the year.
