About Dr. Buck

Larisa Buck, DO, provides comprehensive Adult Medicine and internal medicine care at McFarland Clinic in Ames. She enjoys caring for the whole person and building relationships with patients throughout the different stages of adulthood.

Dr. Buck provides preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses, and diagnosis and management of complex chronic disease processes. She works to understand each patient's medical and family history and is passionate about addressing patient's concerns and goals to develop a plan together to achieve life-long health and a high quality of life.

For Dr. Buck, one of the most rewarding parts of internal medicine is developing lasting relationships with patients and supporting them through both health challenges and successes. She strives to create an environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and discussing their concerns, with an emphasis on kindness, respect, listening, and teamwork.
