About
Dr. Jill Alexander was born and raised in Ames. She grew up running the halls of McFarland Clinic as both her father and grandfather practiced here. She always knew she wanted to follow in their footsteps. She attended Cornell College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, then earned her M.D from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She was awarded the Outstanding Performance in Pediatrics Award for her medical school class.
Dr. Alexander then moved to Houston, Texas and completed her pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She served as a Neonatology Chief Resident her senior year. She earned the Houston Pediatric Society’s Outstanding Pediatric Resident Award in 2001.

From well care, to acute ill visits, babies to teenagers, she enjoys all aspects of Pediatrics.
