About Dr. West

Cody West, MD, is a pediatrician at McFarland Clinic in Ames who cares for children from infancy through young adulthood. His clinical interests include preventive care and well-child visits, growth and development, acute illnesses, chronic health concerns, and mental health concerns.

Dr. West wants visits to be comfortable and enjoyable for children while making sure families feel heard and have their questions answered. He values being part of a child’s journey as they grow and develop and believes families should know he is on their team. When questions or concerns require additional support, his goal is to help families find the right resources and move forward with a clear plan for care.
