McFarland Clinic is pleased to announce Tamim Mahayni, DO has joined our Pulmonology Department in Ames. Dr. Mahayni is an Ames native.

Dr. Mahayni completed a pulmonology and critical care fellowship and an internal medicine residency at the University of Kansas. He received his doctorate of osteopathic medicine degree from Des Moines University.

Dr. Mahayni will provide the following services in Pulmonology:

• Bronchoscopy and EBUS
• Methacholine challenge
• Intensive care consultation
• Overnight pulse oximetry testing for sleep apnea and hypoxemia
• Pleurodesis
• Pulmonary function tests
• Smoking cessation
• Thoracentesis
