McFarland Clinic is pleased to announce that Michael Stefl, MD has joined the Ames Orthopedic Surgery Department.
Dr. Stefl is a native Iowan who received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors and Distinction at the University of Iowa, followed by his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He then completed his residency at the University of Southern California Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He completed an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Indiana Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
He will provide services for orthopedic surgery, specializing in adult reconstruction including operative and non-operative treatments for hip and knee arthritis including partial and total joint replacement, as well as revision hip and knee surgeries. He has authored multiple peer reviewed articles and book chapters on the surgical management of arthritis. He enjoys helping patients rebound from debilitating arthritis so that they may regain their independence and active and fulfilling lifestyles.
