Hospitalists provide personalized, high quality inpatient medical care to our hospitalized patients.
A hospitalist is a provider who offers medical treatment to people while they are in the hospital. Hospitalists don’t maintain a private practice outside of the hospital; they solely care for patients in the hospital who require specialized inpatient care.
Providers manage and coordinate the entire inpatient stay, working closely with the patient’s primary care provider and/or other specialists needed during the hospital stay. Hospitalists can be especially beneficial for those patients whose primary care providers aren't available to see their patient in the hospital for whatever reason.
Hospitalists provide onsite and around the clock access to a provider; they are immediately accessible for hospital emergency situations 24 hours a day. Providers are familiar with key departments and individuals within the hospital and clinic to allow for prompt connections with other healthcare personnel for coordinated care.
