McFarland Clinic is pleased to announce that Christy Christophersen, MD has joined our Orthopedic Surgery Department as a Foot & Ankle specialist in Ames.
Dr. Christophersen received her Bachelor of Science in Human Services from St. Mary’s University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. She completed her Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Christophersen completed her Foot & Ankle Fellowship at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.
As an Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Christophersen will care for a full spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, providing both non-operative and operative treatment. Surgical services include reconstruction of foot and ankle deformities including neurologic deformities, flatfoot, bunions, and hammertoes; fracture fixation, and surgical management of sports injuries and arthritis.
