Employee Education Grant

The primary goal of the McFarland Clinic Foundation Employee Education Fund is to support the development of McFarland Clinic employees through advanced education and certification in a chosen area of expertise. The education/expertise must be applicable and supportive of the applicant's current or future role within the Clinic.

Current McFarland Clinic employees with Part-time or Full-time status and years of service greater than two years are eligible to apply for an education grant through this fund. Grant applications will be accepted year-round for review by a Foundation selection committee.

Criteria for Consideration

A grant to match up to 50% of the expected cost of education/certification incurred by the applicant. A grant will not exceed $1,000 per person per year. Grants can assist in covering costs beyond allocations from the Clinic Continuing Education Dollars. Grants may cover:

Community college, University, or Trade show tuition/fees
Certification programs through institutions or online coursework
Certification programs through licensing or professional organizations

Employee Education grants do not cover membership into professional organizations.

Application

Applications for Employee Education Fund grants are reviewed by members of the Foundation's board of directors (selection committee). McFarland Clinic Human Resources will verify employee status. If chosen to receive the award, the individual must maintain at least part-time employment at McFarland Clinic for a minimum of 12 months following completion of designated education/training. If 12 months is not maintained, the individual will be required to return the full value of the grant to the McFarland Clinic Foundation.
