Why Should I Get a Flu Shot?

Flu vs. Cold

How do you know whether you have the flu or a cold?

Wearing a Mask

If you think you might have the flu, it's up to you to defend other people around you.

When to Wear a Mask

Avoid going into public if you can. If you must be in public, or when you come to the clinic, wear a mask if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • Temperature of 100.5 degrees or more
  • Cough
  • Body aches
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Sore throat

Masks are available at all public entrances to McFarland Clinic buildings.

Community Immunity

Some people in our community have health conditions that put them at risk for the flu, or they can't be vaccinated for medical reasons. When you get your flu shot, you're helping to protect the people around you by lowering the risk of passing the flu on to them.
