Sophisticated Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory available 24 hours daily for emergency heart procedures.
Level III trauma center designation, which means we are capable of treating almost every injury or illness on site. Certain conditions, such as high-risk trauma and burns, may require transfer to another facility by our highly trained paramedic specialists.

Central Iowa Healthcare’s Emergency Department offers a broad range of emergency services. Anyone whose health needs cannot be met will be transported to a hospital with the services he or she requires. You or your loved one will be treated by a team of trained emergency specialists including doctors, registered nurses, emergency medical technicians and respiratory therapists to name a few.
Your evaluation, treatment and diagnosis may require many tests, such as laboratory, radiology, ultrasound and CT scan. The X-ray and or lab technicians will come to your room and accompany you to the proper area. It takes 60 – 90 minutes to schedule, complete and analyze these tests.
