A dermatologist is a physician that specializes in skin care. This doctor receives extensive training in treating skin problems and maintaining healthy skin.

Who needs a dermatologist?

Dermatologist are trained to analyze skin, hair and nails. They can diagnosis many conditions ranging from minor to life threatening for patients from birth to the elderly. Examples would be birth marks, a child with a rash or eczema, sun damaged skin of the middle aged or shingles in elderly patients.
