Our Department

The Clinical Research Department at McFarland Clinic is committed to offering patients the opportunity to participate in clinical trials that are using the most promising alternatives to current standard of care.

What is a clinical research trial?

According to the National Institute of Health, a clinical trial is one type of clinical research that follows a pre-defined plan or protocol. By taking part in a clinical trial, participants can not only play a more active role in their own health care, but they can also access new treatments and help others by contributing to medical research.

At McFarland Clinic, we offer a variety of opportunities for participation in clinical trials. Many physicians enjoy being primary investigators for clinical trials in their specialties because it offers their patients more options for treatment.  We have had trials in the following specialties and currently have many ongoing right now: cardiology, neurology, nephrology, pediatrics, pulmonology, allergy, rheumatology, opthamology, and internal medicine.
