It is anticipated the build of the facility will take at least 24 months. Tentative opening is slated for late 2026 or early 2027.
Where is McFarland Clinic's new CYTown location?
The McFarland Clinic CYTown location will be at 1825 Jack Trice Way in Ames, directly across the street to the north of Jack Trice Stadium and the Stark Performance Center.
Why is McFarland Clinic building a new location in CYTown?
We have identified a need to increase our physician services in Ames to continue serving residents of central Iowa. This need includes additional specialists and primary care providers. As part of our growth strategy, more space is needed to accommodate additional physician practices.
McFarland Clinic and Iowa State University have collaborated on several projects to advance medical offerings in the community. These projects include opening a facility in the Iowa State University Research Park and McFarland Clinic serving as the official team physicians of Iowa State Athletics. The opportunity for McFarland Clinic and Iowa State to collaborate again allows us to bring health care closer to the university community while continuing to serve residents of central Iowa.
What services will be offered at McFarland Clinic in CYTown?
The new McFarland Clinic CYTown building will be a three-story, 78,000-square-foot facility. It will feature several primary care and specialty care services available to the general public, including:
- Family Medicine
- Occupational Medicine
- Orthopedic Sports Medicine
- Pediatrics
- Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Physical Therapy
- Primary Care Sports Medicine
- Urgent Care
The new facility in CYTown will also have laboratory and radiology services including general imaging and an MRI unit.
Will McFarland Clinic in CYTown be open on Iowa State game days?
The McFarland Clinic CYTown office will not be open during Iowa State home football games. Urgent Care services, which are typically open on weekends, will be offered at an alternate McFarland Clinic location on gamedays to ensure the community continues to have access to those services.
