McFarland Clinic is pleased to announce Robert Shapiro, MD, FACC joined the McFarland Clinic Cardiology Department in September 2015.
Dr. Shapiro completed an Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Master of Science in Clinical Research at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Shapiro received his Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Shapiro will provide diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations, interventional cardiology with complex coronary interventions, including atherectomy and bifurcation stenting, structural Interventions, including PFO/ASD closure and transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, DC cardioversions and nuclear cardiology imaging.
