Healthiest Ames is pleased to present "What We Know about Living Well and Aging Well" on Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. at the Ames City Auditiorium. The presentation is free and open to the public. Three international research scholars and experts in the field of longevity will be presenting the program.
- Michel Poulain is an Emeritus Professor at the Universite Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. He is known for his original work as a Blue Zones researcher.
- Leonard W. Poon is a distinguished research professor Emeritus in Gerontology and Professor Emeritus of Public Health and Psychology at the University of Georgia. He is currently the executive director of the International Centenarian Consortium with active collaborations among scientists from seven countries.
- Peter Martin is Professor of Geronotology in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Iowa State University. His research is concerned with longevity, personality, stress, coping and well being. At Iowa State, he leads the Exceptional Longevity Initiative.
