McFarland Clinic would like to welcome John Wheeler, MD, to the clinic. He will be joining the Allergy Department at the 1215 Duff Avenue Office in Ames. He started seeing patients in July.
Dr. Wheeler, native of Viroqua Wisconsin, received his medical degree from the Medical School of International Health at Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel. He completed an internal medicine residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts and a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at SUNY in Buffalo, NY.
Dr. Wheeler will provide consultation, testing, treatment and continuing care for allergies and allergic conditions, as well as testing and treatment for disorders of the immune system. He is qualified to care for both children and adults. Conditions he will follow include asthma, hay fever and chronic nasal problems, chronic cough, drug allergy, food allergy, insect venom allergy, allergic skin conditions including eczema, recurrent and chronic sinusitis, acute and chronic hives, swelling disorders and primary immune deficiency.
