Proton therapy is a type of radiation therapy that uses high beam energy to treat tumors. Because doctors are better able to control where the proton therapy releases its highest concentration of energy, less damage may be done to surrounding healthy tissue and result in fewer side effects.
Join McFarland Clinic’s Radiation Oncologist Shane Hopkins, MD for a discussion on proton therapy.
