Anticoagulants: Risks and Benefits for Patients

Many new anticoagulants drugs are now available to prevent blood from clotting or prevent existing clots from getting larger. Doctors who prescribe and monitor patients requiring anticoagulant therapy need to weigh the risks and benefits of these newer medicines.  Dr. Merchant will provide information on the safety issues involved in using newer anticoagulants.
