Plastic and Hand Surgeon Joins McFarland Clinic

McFarland Clinic would like to welcome Warren Poag, MD, a plastic and hand surgeon. He joins the general surgery department at 1215 Duff Avenue in Ames. He begins seeing patients in August.

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Poag was a resident in categorical plastic surgery at the University of Missouri. He then went on to complete a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Pittsburg.

“Coming from Illinois, I appreciate the people, the values, and the sense of community a town like Ames and a region like central Iowa possess. After 6 years of plastic surgery residency in addition to a hand surgery Fellowship, and 3 relocations in 8 years for that training, our family is thrilled to settle in central Iowa and become active members of our permanent community and home!,” said Dr. Poag.
