Pediatric Pulmonology
The Pediatric Pulmonology Department, which is combined with the Allergy-Immunology Department, provides evaluation and treatment of respiratory conditions from birth through adolescence. Respiratory conditions followed through this department include asthma, cystic fibrosis, recurrent pneumonia or bronchitis, stridor, infant apnea, and near-miss SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).Complete lung function testing, including exercise and inhalational challenge, is available to evaluate lung diseases. Appropriate evaluation and home monitoring is available for infant apnea and near-miss SIDS.
McFarland Clinic is a Cystic Fibrosis Center associated with the University of Iowa Cystic Fibrosis Center.
