Adult Medicine

An adult medicine physician (or "Internist") is a primary care physician for adult men and women. An Internist is trained specifically in the non-surgical care of the adult. This includes health maintenance and care of routine medical problems, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of complex diseases. Your Internist is a resource for medical advice and can meet most of your medical needs. This physician will arrange referral for specialty or surgical care and will provide preoperative evaluation and primary hospital care if needed.
